Bfd2 Crackle

35

Sep 04, 2010 Thought I would jump in on a crackle thread instead of starting a new post on the same topic. I have a new i7 Windows 7 64bit build. I7 930 6GB Corsair DDR3 Kingston SSD 40GB OS+Apps 3 x Raptor 150GB COntent Drives I previously had a crappy E6850 w/ 4GB's using the 3GB PAE Switch for GVI/Kontakt DAW.

Hello, I'm recording bfd2 grooves into my pro tools session. Unfortunately, dropouts and crackles occur when I print these grooves directly into individual pro tool audio tracks. For instance, the kick might disappear in a fill or the hi-hats might disappear in a verse. Moreover, the cymbals crackle sometime during the downbeat of a measure. Every time I re-record, the dropouts and crackles happen in different places! Why is this happening? Does anyone know the solution?

It seems almost every week someone is having the same problem and it's nearly always the same solution. Calculated Fields Form Pro. Just to be sure though, have you clicked the, 'Offline' button on the BFD?

It's just to the left of the CPU meter and it will turn red when you click on it. If it's not in off line mode you will certainly see the kind of problems you're having. If you're still having problems after clicking it then it could be a number of things to do with your sound card drivers, settings in the BFD engine and lord knows what else Steve. I just want to give a shout out to Rail! Lately, I've been researching before I upgrade my BFD 1.5 and PT-M-Powered to BFD2 and PT-M-Powered 8. Naturally, updates have to be installed for your softwares, paths need to be correct, and interface settings have to be just right in order for everything to work together properly.
