I'm getting conflicting information regarding running OS/2 Warp 4 in VMware. Some sources say it's possible while others say it's not. Can anyone please let me know if they are running Warp 4 in VMware and how it's working out for them? I am looking to run Warp 4.52 under VMware ESXi 6.5. If VMware isn't a possibility, how is Hyper-V support?
I have read everywhere that OS/2 Warp 4 will not work on WMWare, however I have got it working. I am on SUSE Enterprise Desktop 10 with VMWare Server 1.0.1, all. OS/2 was once seen as the challenger to Microsoft Windows. But it didn't quite pan out, and the rest is history. Here's how to install it. IBM OS/2 Warp 4.5.2 documentation covers information on how to install the operating system in a virtual machine. I have my original copy of OS/2 Warp from 1994(!) and am wanting to install it in Parallels. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the CD is bootable.
I'd prefer to not run in VIrtualbox as a dedicated virtualization host would be preferable to desktop virtualization if at all possible. Thank you, Jim Allan 05.12.16 14:49. EComStation is supported in VMware, so Warp 4.52 should work too, but I have never tried it. I have however been running eComstation under VirtualBox for many years, and that works really really well - with hardware VT-X/AMD-V enabled. I'm not sure, why you call this for 'Desktop virtualization' - eCS runs just as fast as guest, as on real hw. BTW, this is really a bad group for real OS/2 questions, because all real users have fled a long time ago, due to a lot of trolls in here, so FUT comp.os.os2.misc -- Allan. It is better to close your mouth, and look like a fool, than to open it, and remove all doubt.

I had no luck runnig either in VMWare. ->I have however been running eComstation under VirtualBox for many yea ->and that works really really well - with hardware VT-X/AMD-V enabled.

Soundmax Adi 198x Integrated Audio Driver Windows Xp. Your best bet, if you want to virtualize OS/2, is setting up VirtualBox (from -- it's free and opensource) and running it that way. Plus, VirtualBox is supported on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, OS X, etc). Jim Peters 02.01.17 18:11. Dll Suite 2013.0.0.2054 Full With Keygen. Assassins Creed Crack Only Old on this page. Desktop virtualization refers to virtualization platforms that run on top of a host OS; Virtualbox, Parallels, VMware Fusion, etc. All fall into this category.
The phrasing of my original question could have been clearer: what I was enquiring about were bare-metal hypervisors such as VMware ESXi. This is the most preferable method for me to work with since it provides the best portability of the VM in my environment. >BTW, this is really a bad group for real OS/2 questions, because all real >users have fled a long time ago, due to a lot of trolls in here, so >FUT comp.os.os2.misc Appreciate the pointer.

It's pretty trivial to add another virtual to an ESXi setup, unless you are resource constrained. If it makes you feel more comfortable, I know folks that run VMWare vSphere ESXi on boxes such as an IBM 3650 M3 7945-AC1 with multiple flavors of OS/2 installed. Needles to say, they run fast.
