I will get there but right now the ethernet driver needs to be updated so I can't even get online with the computer to get a scan. I need a driver for the ethernet for that motherboard that I can download to a jumpdrive, install on that computer, then go and get the scan. Any suggestions for that?

After researching this and looking at my own MSI motherboards, I have noticed a pattern.
The N1996 number is something many models had on the boards. The actual board (model) number is different. If you could look on the board between the PCI slots there should be another set of numbers. Note: I grabbed an MSI socket 775 board and it also has the N1996 board number. Looking between the PCI slots it reminded me that the boards have some strange numbers as well that are the actual system board number but not what MSI uses for their website to download the drivers.
